Four persons were lucky to have not sustained any serious injuries after the car three of them were in slammed into a minibus on D’Urban Street yesterday afternoon, pitching it into a nearby drain.
According to eyewitnesses, the silver Toyota Premio, PWW 348, was travelling at an “alarmingly fast rate” north along George Street and ignored the stop at the D’Urban Street intersection. It therefore smashed into the Route 46 (Stabroek-Lodge) minibus, which was proceeding east along D’Urban Street. Neither of the drivers nor the two passengers in the car sustained any serious injury. The minibus had no passengers at the time.
