The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) yesterday released the squad for the Guyana Jaguars final round match in the Digicel West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Regional four-day Professional Cricket League starting tomorrow against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes at the Providence National Stadium.
The selectors have made three changes to the Jaguars side which defeated the Windward Island Volcanoes in the penultimate round to clinch a hat trick of regional titles with Raymon Reifer, Keon Joseph and Anthony Adams replacing Clinton Pestano, Romario Shepherd and Sherfane Rutherford.
National selector Rayon Griffith yesterday indicated that Rutherford and Pestano had to make way for the senior guys Reifer and Joseph. He also pointed out that, with a game to play and the championship already in the bag, it would be a good opportunity to blood young Adams to see how he will fare at the regional level.
While the Guyana Jaguars look forward to lifting the trophy at the end of the final round, they will certainly be seeking to finish on a high with a win against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes.
