Dear Editor,
In the matter of the transfer of the nurse for what is perceived by the regional administrator to be a slight against him, from accounts the administrator seemed more concerned the nurse’s missive in her complaint against a councillor of the region, was not copied to him, than in the complaint itself (‘Nurse who complained about APNU+AFC councillor transferred with immediate effect’ – SN April 20 2017).
While the administrator might have reason to be offended, however, this appears to form the basis of his decision to remove the nurse from her present location, given the haste the transfer letter was issued.
Instead of dealing with the core issue (allegation against a councillor) the administrator was peeved and could not believe he was left out.
It is therefore reasonable to discern that the nurse was relocated because she did not copy her complaint to the regional administrator who took umbrage and ‘could not believe that he was left out’.
Yours faithfully,
Shamshun Mohamed
