A Diamond man was yesterday sentenced to three years in jail for cocaine and cannabis possession.
Avinash Insanally, of Diamond Housing Scheme, was found guilty by city magistrate Annette Singh on charges of having in his possession two grammes of cocaine and three grammes of cannabis on February 3, 2017.
Insanally was handed the jail term at the conclusion of his trial yesterday.
He was only recently sentenced to 18 months in jail by Magistrate Leron Daly for an attempt to commit a felony charge. He is still facing other charges.
