Swag Entertainment, Good Fellas, Future Stars and Cherokee Park sealed berths to the round of 16 when the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Linden edition continued at the Mackenzie Market Tarmac Tuesday.
Swag Entertainment edged Magic Stars 1-0. Colwyn Drakes found the back of the net in the 20th minute while Good Fellas edged Goal Getters by an identical score.
Deshawn Joseph separated the two sides with a third minute conversion. Meanwhile, Future Stars dismissed Ariama Colo-Colo 2-0. Dexter Garraway and Travon Archibald scored in the 12th and 18th minute respectively while Cherokee Park defeated Hardknocks 3-1 on penalty kicks after the game ended 0-0.
In other results, Coomacka downed Mile Star 2-0 on penalty kicks after regulation time ended 2-2.
Kerston Thom and Keron Dow scored in the fifth and 18th minute for the eventual winners. On target for the losers were siblings Donald and Brian Johnson in the 12th and 14th minute respectively.
Young Stars needled Attackers 1-0 on penalty kicks, after normal time ended 2-2. Shaka Lewis and Denzil Pryce netted for the eventual victors in the 12th and 15th minute respectively.
On target in the loss were R. Venture and K. Boston in the ninth and 11th minute. Trainline Warriors defeated Running Guns 1-0 on penalty kicks following a 1-1 score at the end of normal time.
Kelon Adams was on target for Trainline Warriors in the second minute, while S. Jones scored for the losers in the seventh minute. Amazings sealed their berth to the next round without breaking a sweat compliments of a walkover against Bourda All-Stars. The event will resume today at the Silver City Tarmac with the round of 16 section.
