LONDON, CMC – Barbadian seamer Jodra Archer snatched a brace of wickets to help fire Sussex to a 59-run victory over Glamorgan, and ensure West Indies pacer Jerome Taylor enjoyed a winning debut for his new English County here yesterday.
Playing at Hove, the hosts whipped up 292 for six off their 50 overs after opting to bat first, with Stiaan van Zyl top-scoring with 96 and wicket-keeper Ben Brown getting 60.
South African Marchant de Lange was the best bowler with three for 51.

Set a revised target of 281 from 43 overs, Glamorgan were dismissed for 221, with right-armer Archer claiming two for 30 from his eight overs.
He shared the new ball with Taylor who was expensive, picking up one from 54 from his eight.
The 22-year-old Archer, in his first full season for Sussex, got the initial breakthrough when he had opener David Lloyd lbw for five with the score on nine in the fourth over.
He then returned to wrap up the innings, claiming the final wicket of de Lange bowled for 10 in the 40th over.
Wicketkeeper Chris Cooke top-scored with 52.
At the Oval, Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies pacer, Ravi Rampaul, tasted little sucess as his Surrey went down by one wicket to Essex.
With Surrey defending 210, right-armer Rampaul finished with one for 48 from 10 overs, failing to prevent Essex easing to victory with four balls to spare.
