(Trinidad Express) A man released from prison days ago after his criminal cases were dismissed, was gunned down on Saturday.
Anderson Nicholas, 28, in bed when he was killed in his Rio Claro home.
The killer, wearing a mask and armed with a shot gun, ran past a group of Nicholas’ relatives who were seated in the porch of the house at Lazzari Street around 4.40 p.m.
Moments later, explosions were heard, and the killer ran out and escaped.
Relatives found Nicholas with gunshot wounds to the head. He died at the scene.
Officers of the Rio Claro CID and Eastern Division Homicide responded.
The body was removed for an autopsy today.
Police said Nicholas who had been remanded for robbery offences was released on Thursday after the cases were dismissed in court.
