Sybourne Fernandes carted off the spoils of the Flying Ace Cycle Club organized 30-mile road race on Sunday at West Coast Berbice. Fernandes stopped the clock in one hour, one minute and 27 seconds, for the event which started at Rosignol and concluded at Litchfield, under the theme ‘ Race Against Drugs.’
Besides the winner’s trophy, the wheelsman also cycled off with two sprint prizes.
Trailing Fernandes were Orel Ross and Clement Dorris who joined him on the podium. Sanjay Bajenot and Samuel Mootoo completed the top five rewarding positions. Ross also claimed four sprint prizes.
The first female finisher was Shenika Texeira.
In the 12 to 14 category, Shivnarine Bhowadin won ahead of Cameron Yorrick.
