A man is now a remanded prisoner after a court heard that police found him with cocaine.
Kelon Albert was read a charge of possession of cocaine for trafficking by city magistrate Leron Daly yesterday.
The charge alleged that on May 5th, at Bourda Market, he had seven grammes of cocaine for trafficking.
Albert was represented by attorney Adrian Thompson, who told the court that the drugs were not found on his client.
Police Prosecutor Bharat Mangru, however, told the court that the drugs were found on the defendant. The magistrate subsequently remanded him and adjourned the matter to June 2nd.
