Tishauna Bess, the school teacher, who was found dead in her home on Wednesday, died from hanging, according to a post-mortem examination.
This was confirmed by Commander of ‘D’ Division Leslie James, who told Stabroek News that the examination, which was conducted yesterday, revealed that Bess died from asphyxia due to hanging.
James said as the investigation continues, Bess’ boyfriend remained in custody up to late yesterday afternoon.
Bess, 26, a teacher of La Grange Secondary, was discovered dead in her La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara home on Wednesday. The discovery was made after calls to Bess phone went unanswered. Upon checking, she was found lifeless in her home.
