Massy makes donation to Canal Polder’s schools cricket competition

Massy Guyana, one of the country’s leading distribution companies has once again honored their social commitment.

This time the company contributed in a significant way to the Canal Polder communities to stage an Inter Schools male and female tape ball cricket competition.

Massy Distribution products specialist Claude Dhanraj hands over the sports gear to the Canal polder NDC representative Dmitri Sparman. The gear will be used to facilitate the staging of Inter Schools male and female cricket competitions on May 23rd.

The contribution, according to products specialist Claude Dhanraj, is part of the company’s community outreach culture geared in an effort to develop their surrounding environment.

“What we try to do is, we set up a programme annually where we don’t go around haphazardly donating here and there but it’s actually a planned programme where we partner with specific communities for youth and community development,” Dhanraj said.

The company, under the Dr. Chase nerve and blood tonic brand, has this time donated cricket gear to the Canal Polder communities for the staging of the competitions.

The company will partner with the Neighborhood Democratic (NDC) Council in the Canal NDC area to stage the competitions May 23 in recognition of  Guyana’s Independence celebrations.

The competitions will be played at the L’ Aventure Secondary School ground where L’ Aventure and Endeavour Secondary and La Grange Primary School  will compete in the T20 male and female competitions.

Massy also donated speed limit signs to the communities who have been experiencing speeding concerns recently.
