A resident of Goedverwagting, East Coast Demerara was on Saturday afternoon arrested and taken into custody for the unlawful possession of a firearm, a police release said yesterday.
The Police said that acting on information they went to the Stabroek Market in the vicinity of Digicel at about 3.30 pm and conducted a search on the twenty-one year old construction worker and found an unlicensed .38 revolver without ammunition on his person.
He is being processed for court.
