An accident at Smyth and D’Urban streets around 4.15 pm yesterday has claimed the life of a man and left several passengers of a Route 41 minibus nursing injuries.
Up to press time the man was unidentified.
Passengers were rushed to the Accident and Emergency Unit of the Georgetown Public Hospital by the Guyana Police Force and public-spirited persons. Many of the persons suffered cuts and bruises about their bodies and were treated and sent away. The driver of the minibus, Osafo Edghill 29, of 94 North Ruimveldt has been admitted to the hospital and is in stable condition.
