Nikosi Corbin and his three siblings who were injured following an accident at Middle and Waterloo streets, Georgetown on Wednesday night remain hospitalized.
Four-year-old Nikosi and his three siblings Nikita Corbin, 9, Nicholas Corbin, 12, and Nikolai Corbin are currently patients of the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Lavern Corbin, the mother of the children yesterday told Stabroek News that her four-year-old son is a patient of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and has not shown any signs of consciousness. He sustained head injuries and a broken leg.
Nikita and Nikolai are currently under observation in the paediatric ward while Nicholas returned to the hospital after crying out for pains and aches about his body. She stated that he was discharged after receiving treatment on Wednesday night but was re-admitted and doctors were running tests on him to diagnose the severity of his injuries.
The distraught mother also explained that the driver of the Toyota Tundra who was involved in the accident and his wife yesterday visited the children at the hospital.
On Wednesday, Lavern explained to Stabroek News that she was proceeding on Waterloo Street heading to Lamaha Street when the driver of the Toyota Tundra pick-up who was waiting to turn into Middle Street reportedly lost control and collided with her car. Due to the impact, the car spun around before coming to a halt, she said.
