Senior Statistician of the Bureau of Statistics, Jacqueline Tull will be attending a workshop on the World Census of Agriculture 2020 round, to be held in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago from May 22-26, 2017, a release from the Ministry of the Presidency said yesterday.
Tull’s attendance at this workshop was given the go ahead at the meeting of the Cabinet held on Tuesday.
The workshop is expected to bring together regional Statistical Officers and international specialists. It will facilitate proper planning and preparation for a successful National Agricultural Census in Guyana.
Guyana has not benefitted from an agricultural census since the early 1950s, the release said.
