The Central Housing and Planning Authority’s (CH&PA) opening of tenders for the Construction of Duplexes in Onderneeming in Regions 2 and 3, Perseverance in Region 4 and Experiment in Region 5 at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) was yesterday postponed.
During the intended opening, officials from the NPTAB told the bidders that the postponement was due to “problems beyond their control”. Bidders were advised to keep in contact with the procuring entity which would inform them of the next opening date. The bidders were invited to stay to see the sealing of the bidding documents, which were placed in boxes. A total of 15 bids were counted, recorded and sealed.
The CH&PA’s model duplexes at the recent housing expo were not well received. The majority of people who attended the exhibition were interested in single-unit housing.
