SOL Guyana Inc yesterday said it is sprucing up stations in its retail chain and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
In a statement, it said that within the recent past, there have been questions regarding the present closure of a number of Shell-branded service stations and the implications for the Shell retail brand here in Guyana.
SOL said it would like to allay any fears that abound in the Guyana market. It said that the closure of specific stations is intended to achieve two objectives: upgrade the visual identity of some of its stations to a more contemporary look and secondly to upgrade its infrastructural safety standards to the highest in the industry.
The work is ongoing and customers will see further activities on a phased basis throughout the Shell network, all designed to enhance SOL’s brand image and operate with the highest level safety standards.
SOL apologised for any inconvenience that the present works might have caused.
