Residents living in parts of Georgetown, Berbice and Bartica will soon benefit from improved roadways within their communities as Cabinet has greenlit contracts totalling more than $400 million for the construction and rehabilitation of urban roads.
This was revealed by Minister of State Joseph Harmon during a post cabinet press briefing on Friday.
In listing the contracts, he said that in Region Four $21.37 million will be spent on Cane View Avenue between Penny Lane and Fern Drive, South Ruimveldt; $26.13 million on D’Andrade Street, Newtown, Kitty; $41.53 million on Front Road, Block ‘E’, Sophia; $41.33 million on Plum Park, Sophia road network; $27.54 million on Section ‘K’
