The ‘Green Machine’ will look to go two from two in their RAN 15’s game when it plays Trinidad and Tobago at the National Park on Saturday.
Fresh off a 34-26 win against Barbados at the Garrison Savannah last month, the national team’s coach, Shane Grant-Stuart, is confident his side can beat the Soca Warriors who will be starting their season in our backyard.
Grant-Stuart told this publication yesterday that the squad has had good weeks of training leading up to the encounter in four days and is looking forward to having a crack at their familiar foe.
He said fresh parts are in the engine room in the form of United States of America-based duo, Vallon Adams and Delon Downer along with the emerging talent of Ahmad Isaacs and Trinidad and Tobago- based pair of workhorses, Ronald Mayers and Richard Staglon.
The visiting outfit is scheduled to arrive in Guyana on Friday via the Cheddi Jagan International Airport.
Kick off time for Saturday’s game is 15:00hrs.
