All roads will lead to the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue tonight when the inaugural Xtreme Cleaners/GT Beer Gold Rush Futsal tournament resumes with another six fixtures.
The opening matchup at 19:00hrs will set the tone for the night?s proceedings when Broad Street battles Plaisance. The highlight of the contest will be the clash between Broad Street?s national goalkeeper Travis Bess and Plaisance veteran forward Dwayne Ali.
In the second matchup at 19:30hrs, title contender Bent Street will lock horns with dark horse Future Stars in what promises to be a high-scoring affair.
The third fixture will witness Back Circle opposing North Ruimveldt from 20:00hrs while Albouystown will battle Tiger Bay in the ‘Battle for the Ghetto?S at 20:30hrs.
In the final two matches, Agricola will lock horns with Sophia at 21:00hrs and national heavyweights Sparta Boss and Tucville will clash from 21:30hrs.
The final night of group matches will held Thursday at the same venue. Upon the conclusion of the group stage, the top two finishers in each pool and the best two third place finishers will advance to the quarterfinal round.
The other playing dates are June 13th, 15th and 17th. Winner of the tournament will pocket $500,000 and the championship trophy. On the other hand, the runners-up will receive $200,000 and the respective accolade.
The third and fourth place finishers will pocket $100,000 and the $50,000 respectively and the corresponding accolade. On the individual side, $50,000 will be awarded to the Most Valuable Player (MVP).
Entry to the venue will cost $500 during the group round, whilst each night, patrons will have the chance to win a pennyweight of gold and other cash prizes.
