Magistrate Judy Latchman this afternoon once again freed Regan Rodrigues of the 2015 murder of political activist, Courtney Crum-Ewing.
Rodrigues was returned before the magistrate today on the advice of Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Shalimar Ali-Hack.
Today’s decision marks the third time the magistrate would have discharged the matter against the defendant and follows Magistrate Latchman’s refusal yesterday to comply with a directive from the DPP, by way of a letter, to commit Rodrigues to stand trial for the murder.
