Cyclists will have a dress rehearsal for next week’s National Championships today with the staging of the Albert Rose Memorial 50-mile cycle road race.
Commencing at 08:30hrs on David Rose Street, the Linden Bauxite Flyer’s organized 50-mile event will proceed to Bamia Hill for the finish. In excess of $200,000 and 10 sprint prizes worth $2000 each will be up for grabs during the trek.
The flag ship calendar event of the Guyana Cycling Federation will pedal on Saturday with the Time Trials and the road race a day later. More information about the two-day championships will be published in a subsequent article.
