Demerara U19s are currently leading the points standings of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB)/Hand-in-Hand Inter-County three-day tournament after the entire second round was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to persistent rain.
All four teams collected four points which moved the defending champions to 19.2 points followed by Berbice who are now on 16.7.
The GCB Select U17 XI and Essequibo complete the table with 7.1 and 4.2 points respectively.
The third and final round will commence tomorrow where Demerara will look to retain the title when they play against Berbice at the Everest Cricket Club ground, Camp Road.
Meanwhile, the GCB Select U17 XI, who have an outside chance of winning the tournament should Demerara and Berbice encounter end in a draw, face Essequibo at Police.
The U17s, however, will have come out victorious against Essequibo while also collecting all of the available bonus points for that possibility to become a reality. Action at both venues are set to bowl off from 10:00 hours
