WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson had tough words for the Cuban government on Tuesday, days before President Donald Trump’s administration is expected to announce a change in policy toward the island.
Tillerson said Cuba “must begin to address human rights challenges” if it wants the United States to preserve a move toward more normal relations started under former President Barack Obama that has led to an increase in U.S. visitors to the island and U.S. business ties to the country.
