PhotosFriendship accidentBy Stabroek News June 19, 2017 An accident on the Friendship, East Bank Demerara road involving a Route 48 (Sophia/Georgetown) bus and a motor car left several persons seeking treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital last evening. Reports are that the minibus which was heading to Georgetown tried to overtake a vehicle when it was clipped on the left side by a car and subsequently flipped over on the side. One public-spirited citizen related to Stabroek News last evening that he was heading to Georgetown when he saw the accident and decided to render assistance by bringing four of the injured persons to the hospital. At the hospital, three young women and a man were seen at the Accident and Emergency unit awaiting treatment. No one was seriously injured.Comments
