A Mahaicony man bound for Barbados through the Eugene F Correia International Airport was stopped by ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) and later taken into custody after reportedly expelling some 72 pellets filled with cocaine; he is expected to appear in court tomorrow.
According to a release from the unit, Randolph Muir also known as ‘Roach’ of Lot 3 L Enterprise Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara, was stopped on Sunday at the airport and escorted to a city hospital. Between Sunday evening and yesterday morning he reportedly expelled the cocaine filled pellets, which 592 grammes in total.
While investigations are ongoing, the unit said, the man will be charged tomorrow.
