An 18-month sentence was yesterday handed down to a man, who admitted to stealing over $200,000 in items.
The charge was read by Magistrate Sunil Scarce, who stated that Kishore Lall, between June 9, 2015, and June 15, 2015, at 14 Kuru Kuru, Soesdyke, Linden Highway, stole one 160 Stihl weeding machine, valued at $100,000, one 310 Stihl chain saw, valued at $80,000, one bottle of cooking gas valued at $12,000, one $21,000 Power car battery and one ram goat valued at $30,000, property of Wayne Barkley.
Lall was later sentenced to 18 months in jail for the crime, after he pleaded guilty.
The matter was prosecuted by Police Prosecutor Preston John.
