The police in ‘A’ Division yesterday morning raided several houses and buildings in and around Georgetown and ten persons, including some who were wanted for various crimes, were arrested.
Commander of ‘A’ Division Marlon Chapman yesterday explained to Sunday Stabroek that the routine searches which were conducted in communities such as Tiger Bay, Albouystown, Agricola and West Ruimveldt, were part of the anti-crime operations.
He said during the process persons were arrested for investigations pending into offences such as armed robbery and break and enter and larceny.
