A man was on Friday remanded to prison by a city magistrate after he was read an attempted murder charge.
Magistrate Leron Daly read the charge to Rodrick Ibbott, which stated that on June 22, at Campbellville, with intent to commit murder, he wounded Mortimer John.
Ibbott was not required to plead to the charge after the prosecutor told the court that the condition of the complainant was unknown.
As a result, Ibbott was remanded to prison and he will make his next court appearance on July 24.
