A Land of Canaan man was yesterday remanded to prison, after he was charged with ammunition possession.
Paul Hector, 41, was read a charge which stated that on June 30, at Waterfront, Port Kaituma, he had in his possession 30 live rounds of 9mm ammunition.
Hector denied the allegation after it was read to him by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
Bail was objected to by the prosecution on the grounds that the ammunition was found in the defendant’s back pocket.
He was later remanded to prison by the Chief Magistrate and is expected to make his next court appearance on August 8.
