Dear Editor,
In response to a letter some three weeks ago from me to Guyana Water Inc (GWI) on the matter of low water pressure to the Enmore/Logwood/Foulis area, GWI’s Engineer, Mr Barran, visited my home to verify my claims. Mr Barran took photographs of the water flow and also took samples from various sections of the community, and was actively on the ground trying to identify the fault. I found this very comforting, as I did Mr Barran’s assurance that he would get to the bottom of the matter.
I also had the opportunity to talk on the phone with Dr Van West-Charles, CEO of GWI, who promised that normal pressure would be restored within two weeks.
Both these gentlemen kept their word and normal water-flow to the affected area was restored about five days ago.
While residents in the area may have very little knowledge of what transpired, I am sure that they would wish to join me in expressing kudos to Dr Van West-Charles, Mr Barran and all the other staff of GWI who worked to restore normalcy and prevent a longer period of bathing from a bucket.
Thanks all.
Yours faithfully,
Taaj Jadunauth
