The number of prisoners missing from the Camp Street Prison following Sunday’s breakout stands at eight, Director of Prisons, Gladwin Samuels today told Stabroek News.
While he did not give the names of the eight, Samuels informed that the number was originally nine but that one inmate, Shamudeen Mohamed was recaptured last night at Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo.
So far three of the missing have been named as Mark Royden Williams, Stafrei Hopkinson Alexander and Uree Varswyk.
