West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) upset the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) 1-0 when the GT Beer/Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) Intra-Association football tournament continued Sunday.
David Blake was the difference at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) ground, Linden, as he found the back of the net in the third minute against a weakened Georgetown outfit that were missing several key players.
Meanwhile, Berbice Football Association and Bartica Football Association battled to a 2-2 draw. Graham Thomas and Stephon Boucher netted for the Berbicians in the sixth and 28th minute respectively while for Bartica, Shane Little and Alysius Edwards were on target in the 20th and 89th minute respectively. The event will resume at the same venue August 20th.
