Emergency work for Sand Creek Secondary

Emergency work is to be done on the Sand Creek Secondary School in Region Nine after a visit by Minister of Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs Sydney Allicock found the structure in a deplorable state The school houses some 298 students from the community and within the South Rupununi.

City rolls out new garbage collectors

Beginning today, the Mayor and City Council and three small contractors are to commence garbage collection in the city following the termination of contracts with long-time contractors Cevons Waste Management and Puran Brothers on Saturday.
