ExxonMobil yesterday advertised several key posts including an Environmental and Regulatory Co-ordinator.
In an advertisement in yesterday’s Sunday Stabroek, ExxonMobil said that the Co-ordinator will provide support to the security, safety, health and environment function for environmental and regulatory compliance.
The key responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to guide the company on local requirements in environmental and regulatory matters; submit applications to the required agencies for timely approval and authorization; ensure company compliance with local regulatory requirements and organise meetings for company personnel with regulatory agencies. Applicants must have a university degree in environmental science or a related field and at least two to five years’ experience dealing with regulatory bodies.

The company is also seeking a Materials Management Co-ordinator. This person will support the purchase to pay process including purchase order verification, inventory and warehouse transactions and will also have oversight responsibilities of material processes from point of delivery, customs etc to shore based facilities, delivery to and from worksite and disposal upon completion of operations. Regular visits to Trinidad would be required.
Candidates must have a degree from a recognised university in engineering or business and five to 10 years’ experience. The closing date for applicants is also August 18.
The company is also seeking a Community Relations Manager. The winning candidate would have to develop and implement strategic plans and provide advice to support business operations and to protect the image of the organisation. The candidate will also have to monitor local community activities, carry out needs assessments and implement plans to improve the welfare of communities.
