First Lady, Sandra Granger on Wednesday facilitated a visit and guided tour of State House for 26 teenage girls from the Girl Stand Up Project.
A release from the Ministry of the Presidency said that the Girl Stand Up Project is planned and executed by the non-profit organisation, Impacting Communities, Changing Lives. Its directors and organisers hail from Linden, Upper Demerara-Berbice (Region Ten) and, together with other supporters in Guyana, the United States and Canada help provide confidence-building and educational sessions for girls. The Project serves girls ages 14 to 17 from the Linden community.
