Strikers FC and Rising Stars secured wins over Potaro Strikers and Lazio, respectively, when the Bartica leg of the National Milling Company (Namilco) Thunderbolt Flour Power U17 League continued on Friday.
Strikers FC downed Potaro Strikers 2-1 at the Bartica Secondary School ground. Ravun Lyken and Elijah Fraser scored for the winner. On target in the loss was Raymond Bacchus.
Meanwhile, Rising Stars blanked Lazio 6-1. McQuain Smith tallied a hat-trick, while Keenan Harper, Ian Gomes and Marcus McKenzie added to the scoreline. For the loser, Ariel Burnette netted.
On Thursday at the same venue, Strikers FC downed River View 4-0. Andre Burnette bagged a hat-trick, while Ravun Lyken found the back of the net once. Also, Lazio defeated Potaro Strikers 2-0, via goals from Ariel Burnett and Ezekiel King. The event continues on Wednesday, August 16th at the same venue.
