The Management of Cheddi Jagan International Airport Corporation (CJIAC) is currently undertaking a massive expansion project and a Temporary Arrivals Terminal Building was recently constructed. It is fully functional with all of the required facilities and agencies of an international airport, CJIA said.
For the month of July 2017, 30,022 passengers were processed in the Temporary Building compared to 29,435 in 2016, which represented a two percent increase. Meanwhile, 160,776 passengers arrived through CJIAC from January to July 2017 in comparison to 150,445 for the same period in 2016, CJIA said.
Meanwhile, to alleviate any discomfort during the peak hours, CJIAC is working with its stakeholders to continuously improve the operations in the Temporary Building until the new Arrivals Building is completed. (CJIA photo)
