Beginning this weekend, the Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) will be holding several club tournaments until November.
Notably, the Trophy Stall Seven’s which will be held on August 27, and the Bounty Farm Fifteens which starts on September 2.
According to a GRFU release, the tournaments’ schedule reads as follows;
GRFU Seven’s (Men & Women) this Sunday at 11:30 am, at the National Park,
Trophy Stall Seven’s (Men & Women) on August 27th at 11:30 am, at the National Park, and the Bounty Farm Fifteens will be played from September 2 to November 5, with the games starting at 4:00 pm, also at the National Park.
Notes: The GRFU Seven’s (Men & Women) and the Trophy Stall Seven’s (Men & Women) tournaments will conclude the 2016 domestic season. Due to the inclement weather conditions many tournaments were postponed, thus leading to the season extending into this year.
In the meanwhile, training for the Men’s and Women’s National Teams continues every week at the National Park ground. Practice for the men is scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm, while the ladies will train on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:30pm to 6:00pm.
