Colts secured wins over Kobras and Plaisance Guardians in the Open and U-23 Divisions, respectively, when the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) League Championship continued on Sunday, at the Burnham Court, at Carmichael and Middle streets.
In the Open Division, Colts edged Kobras 74-71. Shelroy Thomas shot his way to a game high 37 points, while Dave Causway and Shane Webster added 16 and six points, respectively. For Kobras, Travis Burnett top scored with 28 points, while Jermaine Slater and Mark Richards both contributed 15 points apiece.
In the under-23 category, Colts downed Plaisance Guardians 63-53. Timothy Thompson tallied 27 points in the win, while Renaldo Niles, Daniel Ramlaggan and Damani Thomas chipped in with eight, eight and six points, respectively.
On the other side, Kevon Wiggins netted 22 points, whilst Nigel Bowen and Delroy Critchlow contributed 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Meanwhile, University of Guyana (UG) Trojans hammered Sonics 75-48 in their 2nd Division clash.
