Dear Editor,
It is exactly two weeks since, through your columns, I brought to the attention of the authorities the danger presented by horses on the Lethem runway and people breaching the airport fence. It was confirmed to me today that the fence has actually been cut in eighteen places, and that absolutely no repairs have been done to date. Remarkably the CEO of the airport authority says he was not aware of the problem ‒ one that has existed for almost two years. How much longer must we wait before he treats this problem with the urgency it deserves?
Yours faithfully,
Clairmont Lye
