Wholesale Liquor and Stores secured contrasting wins to seal their berths in the next round, when the annual Mike Pereira Inter-Department Domino Championship continued on Wednesday, at the Banks DIH Thirst Park Sports Club.
Wholesale Liquor blitzed their way into the next round of competition, finishing on an impressive 88 games. Securing the second position and a place in the next round was traditional contender Water Plant, with 76 points. Eliminated from the event was Maintenance Workshop who ended on 63 games.
In the other match, Stores edged Berbice and Central Service to secure the result. Stores finished the matchup on 70 games, with Berbice earning their berth to the next round compliments of a 68 game haul. Central Service was eliminated from the tournament, after ending on 67 games.
The event resumes today at the same venue, with Sales, Berbice and Wholesale Liquor slated to do battle.
