Guyana defeated Trinidad and Tobago by eight wickets in their Regional Under-19 One-Day Championships fixture in St Kitts/Nevis yesterday to storm to a fifth consecutive win in this year’s edition of the tournament and move one step closer to the coveted double.
The South Americans had won the toss and invited their Twin-Island Republic counterparts to take the first strike, bundling them out for a paltry 110 in the 36th over.
Bhaskar Yadram (3-19), Ashmed Nedd (2-23) and Richie Loonaught (2-27), were the men who did the bulk of the damage while Kirstan Kallicharan, who made 48, was the only batsman to make a significant score.
