Wholesale Liquor stormed their way into the final of the Banks DIH Limited ‘Mike Pereira Inter-Department Domino Championships after defeating Sales Department and Berbice branch on Friday.
It was a clinical performance from the event’s ‘dark horse’ at the Thirst Park Sports Club as they secured the win after finishing on an impressive 85 games.
Sales Department qualified for the semi-final stage ending in second position on 68 games while Berbice was eliminated following a 62-game effort.
With the win, Wholesale Liquor earned a direct berth to the final and will await the winner and runners-up from the semi-final showdown tomorrow at the same venue between Water Plant, Sales Department and Stores.
The winners will walk away with nine cases of Guinness, the championship trophy, medals and branded jerseys.
The runner-up will collect nine cases of Banks Beer, the respective accolade and medals. The third place finisher will pocket nine cases of Shandy, a trophy and medals.
