A Police Constable on “sick leave” was about 4.30 pm yesterday placed under close arrest after he was found under a shed at Den Amstel, WCD, gambling with persons of ill repute.
In addition, a search of his person revealed a .32 pistol with live matching rounds, concealed in his crotch, the police said in a press release today.
