Two large contracts have been awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture for the purchase of excavators and bulldozers.
According to a press release from the Ministry of the Presidency yesterday, Cabinet took note of the awards at its meeting on August 22.
Machinery Corporation of Guyana has secured a $273.8m contract for the supply of bulldozers while Farm Supplies Limited has clinched a $230m contract for the purchase of bulldozers. Massy (Guyana) Limited won a $64.2m contract for the supply of tractors.
Under the Ministry of Social Protection, R.K’s Guyana Security Services has secured a contract worth $126.8m for the provision of security services.
Courtney Benn Contracting Services Limited has sewn up a contract for $40.2m for the completion of a fire station at Melanie Damishana, East Coast Demerara.
Meanwhile, Brenco Shipping and Trading Company Limited has garnered a contract worth $31m for the procurement of a side scan sonar for the Maritime Administration Department.
