Police yesterday fished out a decomposed body of a man from a trench in Charlestown, Georgetown.
‘A’ Division Commander Marlon Chapman said the police recovered the body after it was discovered by residents.
Up to last evening, the identity of the man was still unknown.
Stabroek News learnt that the body is in an advanced state of decomposition.
Police are awaiting the findings of a post-mortem examination on the cause of death. The body is at the Lyken Funeral Parlour.
