In a bid to resume broadcasting by this evening, MTV (Multi Technology Vision) 65 will be using salvaged parts from its fallen antenna to temporarily broadcast at a lower capacity.
Speaking with Stabroek News last night, General Manager of MTV, Raymond Singh explained that the workers were still trying to salvage usable parts from the fallen antenna so they can set up by today to resume broadcasting.
“Hopefully by tomorrow evening [Monday] we will have the tower back up and parts of the antenna to resume broadcasting temporarily,” Singh said, while pointing out that so far, there has been no update on the investigation.
On Thursday night, the broadcasting tower at MTV’s studio in Eccles, Industrial Estate, East Bank Demerara, came crashing to the ground.
