—Colts hold on to defeat Kobras 69-67
Colts and Pacesetters secured hard-fought wins in the Under-23 division when the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) League tournament continued Saturday at the Burnham Court on Carmichael and Middle Streets.
Colts survived a fourth-quarter surge from Kobras to clinch the game 69-67. Firmly in control at 51-41 following the end of the third period, Colts held on in the dying moments to secure the vital win as they were outscored 26-18 in the final quarter.
Prior to the tense finish, Colts secured a marginal lead in the first quarter which ended 18-17. The home side built on their advantage in the second period, netting 12 points while restricting Kobras to nine points, to enter the halftime interval ahead at 30-26.
