The list of sponsors to support the inaugural Guinness ‘Cage Football Championship’, continues to grow after Jai Signs and Auto Designs made a financial contribution to tournament coordinators Three Peat Promotions on Saturday.
The simple presentation ceremony, which was staged at the entity’s Independence Boulevard location, was conducted by company representatives Zaheer Mendonca and Andrunie Harris, who handed over a cheque of $50,000.
Accepting the timely donation on behalf of the organizers was Rawle Welch. During brief remarks, Welch, thanked the company for the contribution, which he said highlights the company’s commitment to the development of sports especially at the community level.
The event resumes today at the National Gymnasium with eight exciting group matches. The tournament is currently in the round-robin stage, after 16 teams exited following the end of the playoff round.
More than $700,000 in cash and prizes is up for grabs in the event, with the grand finale slated for September 16th.
